Board of Education Opening

The Board of Education voted to accept the resignation of Mrs. Pamela Midgett at the September 15, 2022 board meeting. As a result and in accordance with district policy, the De Soto #73 School District has a Board vacancy and is soliciting interest from eligible candidates to be considered for appointment by the Board of Education. 

A period of two weeks (September 15-September 30) from the date of the announcement will be allowed for receipt of letters from interested candidates. Residents wishing to be appointed to the vacancy shall make their desire known by sending a letter to the secretary of the board, Mrs. Dawn Selsor, at 610 Vineland School Road, De Soto, MO 63020 stating their qualifications and their reason for wishing to be on the Board by 4pm on Friday, September 30.

A board committee will review letters of interest from individuals on Tuesday, October 4, at 5pm. Will select individuals to interview with the Board of Education during a special meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 5pm.


After all of the interviews have been conducted, the appointment will be made by the board in open session through a formal motion and seconded, and an affirmative vote by the majority of the Board.The individual appointed by the board will be sworn in during the regular meeting on October 20, 2022.
